2008.05 | U.S. Southwest | Driving the 2008 Cadillac CTS
When you work in advertising, the difference between a good job and a great job is the chance to work with a brand that you truly believe in. In my case, being the Senior Interactive Producer for the Cadillac account at Modernista is a dream job. As a boy, when my friends were racing their toy Camaros, Firebirds and Mustangs, I was dreaming of driving a golden Coupe de Ville. Times have changed since. The de Ville is now the DTS and while I still appreciate the luxurious cool factor of a black DTS (gold is too 70s), the new Cadillac of Cadillacs is a red CTS. During our vacation in the U.S. Southwest, I mixed work and pleasure by renting a CTS, which we drove to Death Valley, Hoover Dam, the Grand Canyon and Red Rock Canyon. My test drive proved beyond a doubt that the CTS is not just a car, it's a Cadillac.
